Episode 7

Vertical educational comic set in Nukoo’s study room. Nukoo, a small beaver wearing round glasses and a teal sweater, sits on a stack of books reading while a millipede is nearby.

Panel 1: A caption reads « Today, Nukoo feels ready to finish everything he has to do. » Nukoo sits at a desk with books, a laptop, a globe and a mug, reading intensely. He says « Today, no need for a break! We don’t have that many things to do. »

Panel 2: A caption reads « Three hours later. » Nukoo is still reading, but now looks confused and exhausted. His eyes appear dizzy and he says « Wait… what did I just read again? »

Panel 3: Nukoo looks toward a flower pot where the millipede is resting on the plant. Nukoo asks « What are you doing? Are you taking a… break? »

Panel 4: The final panel shows Nukoo and the millipede outside in a grassy field with mountains and flowers. A caption reads « The brain also learns while resting. »

The comic illustrates a learning principle: studying without breaks reduces attention and comprehension, while short periods of rest help the brain process and strengthen newly learned information.

Episode 7 🌱

Today, Nukoo felt very motivated.

He wanted to finish everything. Learn everything. Understand everything.

So he started reading… and kept reading… without stopping. No breaks today.

At first, everything seemed fine. The pages kept turning, ideas kept coming.

But little by little, something changed.

The words became blurrier. The sentences felt strangely familiar. After a while, Nukoo wasn’t even sure what he had just read.

Our brain can focus for a certain amount of time, but attention is not an unlimited resource.

When it is used for too long without rest, it slowly becomes tired. Information keeps arriving, but the brain processes it less and less clearly.

Breaks play a quiet but important role in learning.

They allow the mind to release tension, reorganize information, and sometimes even strengthen what has just been learned.

As Nukoo stared at his page, Mr Millipede had stopped moving too.

Maybe… taking a small break.

After all, the brain also learns during moments of rest.
